Tanzania is a destination famous for its diverse natural wonders, with some of the finest game parks in the world including Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Ruaha and the Selous. With the exception of Selous and Ruaha in southern Tanzania where some parts of the reserves remain temporarily closed for game drives during the rain season, all other game parks can be visited throughout the year. It does not rain all day long in Tanzania even during the peak rains season which hardly lasts for 2 ½ months between mid March and May. The best time to visit the Selous Game reserve and Ruaha National Park is during the dry season from June to November.
